I step forward 2 steps back!

Author: Shaunk...

To be critical the planning of this project hasn't run as smoothly as it could have. We originally scheduled to shoot the afternoon of Wed 27th Feb but neither Luke nor I had bank details with us needed to take out the cameras (insurance). We then rescheduled for Monday, which was our next available time slot, this meant we would miss some of the DVP session but we only expected the shoot to take an hour. On the day of the shoot the video dept. had run out of tripods and it also took longer than planned to find a suitable filming location (understanding now why professionals have researchers to do that kind of thing!). Once we started filming we seemed to invoke the wrath of mother nature, suffering rain, hail snow wind & sunburn (slight exaggeration) all in a few hours, not what you want when continuity matters.
The final footage wasn't perfect but there was enough to complete the video. When it came to editing, FCP is pretty foolproof and yet still very powerful software. It has many built in functions, filters & effects allowing to easy production of professional looking effects.
