I've been looking into developing CSS skills today. I need to work on cross browser hacks and advanced techniques. I recently put some work into furthering my knowledge of using the Z-index effectively to stack transparent pngs, opening up the possibilities of creating richer looking content.

Here is a post I came across about generating pure CSS gradients. Something which is not possible at the moment without using PHP variables however I'm sure they will come along soon and eradicate the need for repeating graphics.
