Da Vinci

Author: Shaunk...

As, yet again I'm sat here at the computer there is a documentary playing about Leaonardo Da Vinci. Someone I respect for his talents, uniqueness, diversity and all round genius. Admittedly I'm a fan but by no means an expert or a biographer so this is the first insight I've had into his life.
I glad to say that we share the same downfalls and weaknesses, or at least what are commonly instilled to be shortcomings. I feel affiliation with his overactive creativeness, my days are riddled with lists and started projects promptly replaced by equally brilliant ideas. I also share his severity of procrastination and obsessive perfection along side his drive for knowledge and experimentation. Yes, I think he's definitely risen up my dinner party list and now I feel safe in the knowledge that even if I'm not appreciated now just give em a few hundred years and they love me!

The last supper painting is also an amazing subject. The thought that has gone into the face, the hands, the colours of each robe, the subtle objects and the position or body language of each apostle is amazing. Conspiracy nuts or gullible Dan Brown followers aside if your not impressed you must be pretty dull.
