These were some initial ideas regarding navigation. I was looking into creating some type of "organic" navigation system. I later abandoned this idea as it may be novel and memorable however it does not suit my target audience. Novel or experimental sites work well for high end companies or as promotional, stylistic or technical platforms but Joe Public can find them confusing even annoying. So not to put users off I decided best to adhere to classic conventions of navigation bars, tabs or buttons. Give the users what they expect and know.
